Brownsville Man Arrested For High Speed Chase

Fond du Lac Police arrested a 20-year-old Brownsville man after a high speed chase in the city early Saturday morning. Assistant Police Chief Steve Klein says officers saw the man speeding about 4:20 that morning. He says the driver was driving recklessly in the area of 9th and Military. An officer tried to stop the vehicle, but it excellerated and turned south onto Military. According to police logs he was doing 90 miles an hour on Military over I-41. Klein says a Sheriff’s deputy put out stop sticks on South Military in the area of Miranda Way just past Rolling Meadows Golf Course. The driver tried to avoid the stop sticks and went into a snow bank. The driver then tried to get away on foot, but a Sheriff’s deputy used a stun gun on him. He’s being held in the County Jail and is facing drunken driving and felony eluding charges.
