“Bucket Brigade” Raises $42K for Salvation Army

The 19th Annual Bucket Brigade to benefit the
Salvation Army of Fond du Lac was another huge success.

Thanks to the generous donations of people all around
Fond du Lac, and a $16,000 match from Michels Corporation, the grand total for
the event reached $42,573.60 this year. This year’s total surpasses 2018’s
final total by just over $1,250.

The money raised by the Bucket Brigade is used to support
numerous programs and services provided by the Salvation Army, including their
Food Pantry, Brown Bag Lunch giveaway, the warming shelter and their Christmas
toy, food and gift outreach.

Officials with the Salvation Army tell us that as of
Thursday their Red Kettle goal is at 60-percent of its $170,000 goal. People
interested in making a donation – or volunteering to ring bells, can call
