Buechel Declares State of Emergency

County Executive
Allen Buechel has declared a State of Emergency
for Fond du Lac County effective, 2100 hrs. (9:00pm), August 28,
2018. The Emergency has been declared as result of flooding and damage due to a
tornado with the majority of the damage occurring in the city of Waupun and town of Alto.
While there have been reports of multiple trees and wires down throughout the
county, there have been no reports of any injuries, only reports of damage to
property. Fond du Lac County Emergency Management has activated an Emergency Operations Center
to assist in coordination of the response to the disaster.

A shelter has been
opened by the American Red Cross at the Brandon School,
200 W. Bowen St., Brandon. Anyone needing transportation to
the shelter should call 2-1-1. All residents of Fond du Lac County
who have damage to their property as a result of this disaster should also call
2-1-1 to report the damage.
