Building Security Upgrades Part of Waupun Schools Improvements

Secure
entrances will be part of the improvements made to Waupun School District
Facilities through the $36 million referendum district voters approved last
November. District Superintendent Tonya Gubin says they needed more secure
entrances at their three elementary schools. She says at SAGES and Meadowview
that will be done next summer and they will be recreating the entire office
area in both of those schools. She says at Rock River
they will be putting in a new entrance. She says the construction crew will be
starting work on that new office there this fall. She says right now it is the
teachers lounge. She says they will also be putting in additional cameras at
the schools, new intercoms, and fire alarms.
