C.D. Smith Helps “Make A Wish” For Young Teen

Fond du Lac-based C.D. Smith regularly builds massive, multi-story buildings for the clients they serve.

But recently, the well-known construction company took on a project of a smaller scale, that made a huge impact.

Back in January, Make-A-Wish Wisconsin reached out to C.D. Smith to see if they would be interested in helping grant a special wish for a kid in the community.

As Connie Coon of C.D. Smith recounts in the company blog, “A sweet 14-year-old local girl was diagnosed with a critical illness, but was very excited when she learned she would be granted a wish!

“Dreaming about a wish that would allow her to have her own space and hang out with friends as a needed distraction, she decided that her one true wish is to have her very own She-Shed. Ideally, she would like a modern farmhouse look – with dark siding and light trim.”

In partnership, Drexel Building Supply, Tom’s Quality Millwork & Hardwoods, Inc., W.J. Leasa Electric and C.D. Smith built the shed of her dreams! Her wish came true on Friday, June 10 when crews delivered and unveiled the shed to the family.

To everyone who was a part of this project, thanks for all you did to make this wish happen!
