CA Man Faces Federal Charges After Threatening Eau Claire School Board, Others

A California man faces a federal charge after allegedly making online threats to the Eau Claire Area School Board and 13 other entities around the country.

34-year-old Jeremy D. Hanson, of Rossmoor, California, faces up to five years in prison if found guilty of making violent threats.

The victims include dictionary publisher Merriam-Webster, the Hasbro toy company, the Walt Disney Company, the Land O Lakes food company, a City of Madison alderperson, and the Eau Claire school board.

Hanson was apparently angered by those he perceived to be Marxists and their stance on gender-identity issues.
