Campbellsport Man Found Guilty In Dog Attack

A Fond du Lac County jury late Friday afternoon found a 59-year-old Campbellsport man guilty of charges stemming from the vicious dog attack on a teenager. The jury found Richard Lisko guilty of false imprisonment and 1st degree reckless injury charges for the attack on 18-year-old Joel Kennedy Jr. last August 31st. It took the jury about 5 ½ hours of deliberation. A pre-sentence investigation has been ordered. Lisko believed he’d been the victim of burglaries and that Kennedy had stolen some morphine pills from him. When the teen arrived at his home that day with his father Joel Kennedy Sr., Lisko punched the boy and when he fell to the floor had his pit bull attack him. Later the two strung him up from a wooden beam on the front porch and the dog continued to attack. When a neighbor later intervened the boy was let down and Sheriff’s Deputies were called.  Joel Kennedy Sr. was sentenced to 6 months in jail and three years of probation for his role in the attack, but that was a partial sentencing dependent upon his testimony in Lisko’s case. Assistant District Attorney Dennis Krueger said during closing arguments that Joel Kennedy Sr.’s testimony was self-serving.
