Capitol Attackers From 2021 Plead To Lesser Charges

Four of six Wisconsin men charged in the attack on the U.S. Capitol one year ago have pleaded guilty to lesser charges.

“UpNorth News” reports that Kevin Loftus of Eau Claire, Abram Markofski of La Crosse, David Charles Mish Jr. of West Allis, and Brandon Nelson of Madison had all faced multiple charges in connection with the violent attack on the Capitol but all ended up pleading guilty to a lesser charge of parading, demonstrating, or picketing.

Markofski and Nelson each received 24 months’ probation plus fines and restitution. Charles received 30 days in jail plus restitution. Loftus’ sentencing hearing is scheduled for January 31. Cases are still underway against Michael Fitzgerald of Janesville and Joshua Munn of Melrose.
