Car Chase Ends In Arrest

A vehicle pursuit Wednesday afternoon that lasted roughly 14 miles, ends with the driver in custody. FDL County Sheriff’s Deputies were called out just after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, for a report of a reckless driver on Hwy. 151 near Martin Rd in the Town of Fond du Lac. The vehicle failed to stop for the deputy, continuing north on Highway 151 at a high rate of speed. 


During the pursuit, tire deflation devices were attempted but unsuccessful. The chase continued north on Highway 151 with the vehicle traveling east on Johnsburg Rd in the Town of Calumet, where the driver was finally apprehended near CTH W and was taken into custody.  A passenger in the vehicle was detained and later released. There were no injuries or damage as a result from the pursuit.  


Officers from The City of Fond du Lac Police Department as well as Troopers from the Wisconsin State Patrol assisted in the incident.  The operator is being held at the Fond du Lac County Jail on charges of felony eluding, second-degree recklessly endangering safety, criminal damage to property, and operating while intoxicated.
