Car Crash In Fond du Lac Sends One To Hospital With Serious Injuries

A Friday night accident results in one person being air-lifted from St. Agnes Hospital to Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee.

Fond du Lac PD was called out Friday night just before 10:00 p.m., for a report of a car that had struck a tree on S. Main St. near Maria Ln.

Initial investigation shows a 17-year old male was riding in the bed of a truck, when the 19-year old male operator of the truck lost control of the vehicle, jumped a curb, and ran into the tree.

The operator of the truck said his foot became caught between the gas pedal and brake pedal, and he was unable to slow down the vehicle. At least two people involved in the incident said the vehicle was traveling at least 40 mph prior to the crash.

The male occupant riding in the truck bed was transported to St. Agnes Hospital, and then flown to Children’s Hospital with undisclosed injuries.

The matter remains under investigation.
