Car Crashes Into House, Damages Home, But No Injuries

An early Tuesday morning accident results in a vehicle crashing into a house. FDL County Sheriff’s Deputies were called out Tuesday August 11, 2020, at 7:36am, with a 911 call, reporting a vehicle struck a house at N5123 Oak Hill Rd in the Township of Empire. 


A press release issued by the Sheriff’s Department said a vehicle driven by a 53-year old Fond du Lac man had pulled off to the side of the road to clean his windshield. Instead of hitting the brake, he stepped on the gas, and the vehicle went down the hill and struck the house on Oak Hill Rd. The vehicle came to rest in the front entryway of the residence, causing damage to the residence. The operator of the vehicle was not injured, and a resident and pet in the home at the time, were not injured.


The driver was issued citations for obstructed view and failure to keep control of vehicle. Deputies from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office responded along with Eden First Responders, Eden Fire Department and City of Fond du Lac Paramedics.
