Car Gets Stuck In Mud, Driver Cited For 3rd OWI

The driver of a vehicle that became stuck in the mud late Saturday evening has been cited for his 3rd OWI.

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department was notified just after 11:15 p.m. Saturday (3/19/2022) that a vehicle was stuck in the mud, about 30 yards off the road, near Hwy. 44 and Oak Grove Rd., between Fairwater and Brandon.

According to Sheriff’s logs, the vehicle didn’t appear to sustain any type of damage, and the driver didn’t appear to sustain any injuries.

The vehicle did need to be towed from the scene, and the male operator of the vehicle was cited for his 3rd OWI as well as failure to maintain control of the vehicle.

He was taken to the Fond du Lac County Jail on a mandatory 12-hour hold.
