Car/Motorcycle Accident Near Eden Sends One To Hospital

A Saturday morning collision involving a car and a motorcycle remains under investigation. The accident occurred August 22, 2020, at approximately 10:36am, with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Department receiving calls regarding a motorcycle that collided with a car. The incident occurred at the intersection of CTH B and CTH K in the Town of Eden.

            Once on the scene, deputies determined that a motorcycle, driven by a 71-year-old Campbellsport man collided with a car driven by a 64-year-old Madison woman.  Both vehicles were traveling westbound on CTH B and approaching the intersection of CTH K.  The car driven by the Madison woman was in the process of turning south on to CTH K when the motorcycle driven by the Campbellsport man attempted to pass the turning car on the left.  The motorcycle collided with the car as it was in the process of making the the southbound turn onto CTH K. 

            The operator of the motorcycle sustained serious injuries and was transported from the scene to Froedert Hospital by Flight For Life medical helicopter.  He was wearing protective riding gear, including a helmet.  There were no other injuries.

            Also assisting at the scene was Wisconsin State Patrol, Eden Fire Department, and City of Fond du Lac Fire Department Paramedics.
