Card Skimming Suspect in Court

One of the men arrested in connection to a credit card skimming case here in Fond du Lac is set to return to court for a preliminary hearing today. 36-year old Catalin Adrian-Capanu of Anaheim, California faces twenty felony counts of Credit Card Forgery, along with a misdemeanor count for resisting an officer. Capanu and another man were arrested back in June, after officers responded to reports of suspicious activity at a Marine Credit Union ATM. Officers found 137 cloned credit cards and $7,500 in cash in their vehicle. The Romanian immigrants reportedly admitted to being part of an international scheme related to skimming devices.
