Chief Lamb Talks About Crime Rates

Fond du Lac Police Chief Bill Lamb recently talked on KFIZ about the City’s crime stats for 2016. Overall crime was down by 3 percent. Lamb says considering the drug epidemic that has gripped our nation that is significant. Fond du Lac had 959 property crimes in 2016, the City’s lowest number in the past nine years. Lamb says some types of crimes were also at five year lows. He says forcible rapes, burglaries, overall thefts, and stolen vehicle reports were all at the lowest level they have been in five years. He says violent crimes were also down with the exception of aggravated assaults most of which he says are attributable to domestic assault and child abuse. He says there were no murders reported in the City last year.
