Child on Bike Dies After Being Hit by Garbage Truck in Sheboygan

A 9-year-old boy on a bicycle was hit and killed by a
garbage truck Wednesday morning in the City of Sheboygan. Police say the
garbage truck is owned by the city, and was traveling north on 14^th Street
when it was making a turn to head east on Center Avenue. The boy on the bike
was traveling north on the sidewalk along 14^th Street when the crash
happened. Investigators believe the boy was on his way to school at the time of
the crash. Neither the name of the truck driver or the victim have been
released. The crash happened just before 10:30 AM.
