Child Tax Rebate Deadline at Midnight

Midnight tonight is the deadline to apply for the $100 child tax rebate in the state of Wisconsin. More than 532,000 rebate claims have already been made, but the state will not accept claims filed after today. Parents must have a child under the age of eighteen who was a dependent for the 2017 tax year. The state predicted about 670,000 households would qualify for the rebate. There will also be a sales tax holiday from August 1st thru the 5th, where sales tax will not be applied to clothing $75 and under, computers under $750, computer supplies below $250, or school supplies totaling $75 or less.
