Chocolates With A Bonus For Sale During The Holidays

Have a chocolate lover to shop for this holiday season? Looking for a fun hostess/teacher/sitter gift? Why not a box of chocolates that comes with a chance to win a $5,000 diamond ring? And for just $10.

The half-pound boxes of assorted chocolates from the Candy Tree of Kewaskum includes truffles, caramels and toffee as well as a raffle ticket and a chance to win a 14-karat white gold ring with two karats of diamonds donated by The Goldsmith of Fond du Lac, valued at $5,000. The jewelry raffle and chocolate sales are fundraisers for the Soroptimists of Fond du Lac’s 21st annual Chocolate Fantasy on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017, at Knights of Columbus Hall, 795 Fond du Lac Ave. The winning pendant raffle ticket will be drawn at the event; need not be present to win.

The chocolates are being sold by Soroptimist members and are for sale at the following locations:

  • In Fond du Lac: Fox Valley Savings Bank, 51 E. First St.; Hometown Bank, 245 N. Peters Ave.; EP-Direct, 1479 S. Hickory St.; Annie’s Fountain City Café, 72 S. Main St.; and The Goldsmith, 177 S. Main St.
  • Bank of Oakfield in Oakfield, Brandon and Van Dyne

Chocolate Fantasy features samples of chocolate confections, a giant silent auction and a raffle for cash and prizes. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door and will be available by December 21 at these Fond du Lac locations: Annie’s Fountain City Café, Bank of Oakfield, Downtown Deli, EP-Direct, Fond du Lac Convention and Visitors Bureau, Fox Valley Savings Bank, Hometown Bank, The Goldsmith and Wegner Office Supply. New this year, tickets will be available for online purchase and printing at www.hometowntickets.com, also starting December 21.

Each year, a local charity is chosen to receive proceeds from the event. The 2017 event will benefit the Family Resource Center of Fond du Lac.
