City Of Waupun Receives Over $17,000 In Energy Rewards

The city of Waupun is the proud recipient of a $17,000 award from Focus on Energy. LED light upgrades to city hall, public library, public safety and community center netted Waupun nearly $17,115 in incentive payments from Focus on Energy and the city’s utility.

The moves will also provide savings on utility costs of about $16-thousand dollars. The city estimates that it will reduce their carbon dioxide emission footprint by 131 tons. Waupun’s participation in the Focus on Energy Program and commitment to energy efficiency was recognized during a brief ceremony and check presentation last week.
