City Reaches Tentative Agreement With Transit Union

The Fond du Lac City Council approved a tentative contract between the City and AFSCME Local 1366, which represents Transit employees.

Chad P. Wade, Labor Relations Coordinator for the city, said the 3-yr agreement would give Transit employees a 1.75% increase for 2022, and then 2% increases in 2023 and 2024.

Wade told Council the tentative agreement meets the City’s bargaining goals for a successor agreement.

Other provisions include.
 Modifies caps on employee premium contributions to health insurance;
 Removes out-dated language regarding the City’s ability to consider an employee’s full employment history when applying progressive discipline;
 Provides a limited duration bonus compensation plan utilizing federal funds from the American Recovery Plan Act (ARPA).

The remainder of the agreement remains status quo.
