City Residents Asked to Help Clean Catch Basins of Snow & Ice

City of Fond du Lac residents are being asked to help
clear their storm catch basins of snow and ice to help prevent street flooding.
The catch basins are located at intersections and along the streets and are
small inlets that collect melting snow or rainwater to remove it from the
street. The forecast for this weekend includes up to a half inch of rain –
which could increase the threat of street flooding with the basins covered in
snow and ice. City crews are out cleaning catch basins – but they are only to
clean out a fraction of them around the city. Questions can be directed to City
Engineering at 920-322-3470.
