Clyman Man Sentenced For Womans Heroin Death

The 30-year-old man Clyman man who waited hours after a woman’s death from an overdose to take her body to a hospital has been sentenced to prison. Gabriel Joseph Brandl was sentenced in Dodge County Court Friday to 7 years in prison and 13 years of extended supervision. Brandl took the body of Holly Nehls (NAILS) to a Watertown Hospital hours after she died of a heroin overdose. He was in Clyman Park with the 41-year-old Nehls on Memorial Day last year where they did heroin. He told investigators she passed out, but he didn’t realize she was dead until he was driving her around and noticed she wasn’t breathing. District Attorney Kurt Klomberg says Nehls was one of over twenty-two in Dodge County to die of a drug overdose in 2016.
