Colts Sign Windsor to Reserve/Future Contract

The Indianapolis Colts have signed Fond du Lac native Robert Windsor to a Reserve/Future contract. The team announced the move on Sunday, with Windsor joining 15 other players in agreeing to Reserve/Future deals with the team.

Any player who wasn’t on an active roster at the end of the regular season can be signed to a Reserve/Futures Contract. Those signees do not count against a team’s salary cap or 53-man roster limit, but will count against the cap and the 90-man camp limit of the following season.

Windsor was a sixth round draft pick (#193 overall) by the Colts in the 2020 Draft out of Penn State. He was waived in early September and signed to Indy’s Practice Squad. Windsor was elevated to the active roster for games against Tennessee and Green Bay in November and recorded a tackle in each game, playing a total of nine snaps on defense and two on special teams during the season.

The Colts closed out the season with a 27-24 loss to Buffalo in the Wild Card round on Saturday.
