Community Spread In FDL County, Now 24 Cases

Fond du Lac County Health Department announcing on Tuesday afternoon that they received two additional COVID-19 positive results, and those tests have been identified as community spread. There are now 24 confirmed cases as of Tuesday afternoon.

This means that there are people who have tested positive, who have no known exposure to a positive case or no travel to a location where there is known community spread. Community spread in Fond du Lac was anticipated, but it was also the hope that the measures put in place would minimize or eliminate the spread.

According to FDL County Health Official Kim Mueller, this only further reinforces the importance for all Fond du Lac County residents to adhere to the Safer at Home order by Governor Evers. Please stay at home unless making an essential trip.
