Competency Exam Ordered For High Speed Chase Suspect

A Washington County judge has ordered a competency exam for the 25-year-old Appleton man suspected of leading authorities on a multi-county high speed chase early Christmas morning. Adam Piotrowski is facing five charges in Washington County Court stemming from that pursuit. Fond du Lac county deputies were unable to stop Piotrowski. He was eventually stopped in Washington County after driving his car into the vehicle of a sheriff’s supervisor, who then shot at Piotrowski to get him to stop. He is being held in the Washington County Jail on a $35,000 cash bond. His next court appearance is March 14th.
