Competency Of Naked Home Invasion Suspect Being Evaluated

The competency is being evaluated of a 26-year-old Fond du Lac man who allegedly entered unlocked homes while he was nude. The evaluation is being done in the Fond du Lac County Jail where Lucas Leffel is being held on a $250,000 cash bond. Deputy District Attorney Dennis Krueger says when the examination is complete a status conference will be scheduled in the case. According to the criminal complaint Leffel entered the homes on Fond du Lac’s southeast side to touch sleeping women for his own sexual gratification. He’s charged with three counts of Burglary to a Dwelling and four counts of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of an Unconscious Victim. He was originally scheduled for a preliminary hearing this week, but it was delayed for the competency evaluation. Leffel’s attorney asked for the evaluation.
