Congressman Grothman Didn’t Expect Shutdown To Last Long

Congressman Glenn Grothman waited in the nation’s capital Monday morning to see if a compromise would be reached to end the Federal Government shutdown. Before noon the Senate reached that compromise, which would require a full vote of the Senate and House. Grothman still can’t believe Democrats used the shutdown to get a compromise on an immigration plan. Grothman says twice under President Barack Obama he voted for continuing resolutions to keep the Government funded while differences over the Federal Budget were being worked out. He told KFIZ News Monday morning he didn’t expect the shutdown to last long and within a few hours the compromise was reached.
