Consulting Firm To Make Appearance At FDL Advisory Park Board Mtg

There’s only one item listed on the City of Fond du Lac’s Advisory Park Board meeting agenda for this afternoon, and that’s discussion of the feasibility study being done by Johnson Consulting. The Chicago-based firm was hired by the city in regards to the Lakeside Park Master Plan, and the pros and cons of putting a restaurant on the lighthouse peninsula and an amphitheater and parking lot on Oven Island. The plan has received both rave reviews from some in the city and $5 million in support from private donors. It’s also raised strong opposition from groups opposed to any type of structure being placed on the peninsula at Lakeside Park. Johnson Consulting is expected to have their complete feasibility study completed in October.
