Cops For Kids Christmas

On Friday, December 19, 2014, forty (40) less fortunate Fond
du Lac families received Christmas presents and food, including a full holiday
meal, that were delivered by members of the City of Fond du Lac Police
Department, area clergy who are members of our Police Chaplaincy corps, and
representatives of the Cops for Kids Foundation.

This annual tradition of adopting families in need was
funded and otherwise made possible through very generous donations by Festival
Foods, Holiday Automotive and their employees, the Cops for Kids Foundation,
and the City of Fond du Lac Police Department Chaplains.

This year’s program was primarily coordinated by City of
Fond du Lac Police Officers Ragan Pecore and Steve Olson, and our Lead Police
Chaplain, Pastor Paul Pfeffer of Grace Christian Church.

“Distributing the food
and toys around Christmas is a way of showing families in our community that
may be having a difficult time that we care.  This knowledge may give them
a sense of hope for the future, which is another way we can serve our community
and is something that will last well into the New Year.”

“It was a great
experience this morning serving alongside the Fond du Lac Police Department
distributing food and toys to families in need this Christmas season. The
serving spirit of our law enforcement family to families in our community
continues to be a core value of our department. We wish everyone a very Merry
Christmas.”
