Cost Of Gableman Probe $200,000 Over Budget

A partisan probe into Wisconsin’s 2020 election has gone about 200-thousand dollars over budget.

Assembly Speaker Robin Vos initially gave former state Supreme Court Justice Mike Gableman a 676-thousand dollar budget.

As of Tuesday, the state had spent about 896-thousand 500 dollars on the review and five lawsuits related to it. That’s according to invoices released to the Journal Sentinel under Wisconsin’s open records law.

Assembly Republicans launched the project nearly a year ago, despite recounts and court rulings which determined that Joe Biden defeated Donald Trump in the state.
