Couple Arrested, Found With Hundreds Of Items of Stolen Mail

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of stealing mail from over 200 businesses and homes in Outagamie County.

A traffic stop in Buchanen ended up with authorities finding hundreds of pieces of mail located in the vehicle. The items included personal checks, packages, tax-related documents, two passports and meth and drug paraphernalia.

Taken into custody were 32-year old Danika A. Viasana and 36-year old Carl James Breneman.

Sheriff’s Deputies also searched a hotel room where the two had been residing, where more stolen mail was also found.

Charges have not yet been filed against the pair, as the matter continues to be investigated by the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Department and the U.S. Postal Inspector’s Office.
