Couple Dies Following Three-Vehicle Crash in Winnebago County
A husband and wife are dead following a crash along Highway
21 in
crash happened in Rushford, near Omro, around 3:00pm Sunday afternoon.
An eastbound
vehicle crossed the centerline and struck a westbound vehicle towing a trailer
head on before hitting another vehicle. The driver of the vehicle with the
trailer, 75-year old Gary Martin, died at the scene. His wife, 75-year old
Julie Sara, was taken to the hospital and died from her injuries on Monday. The

The 46-year old
man driving the eastbound vehicle was seriously injured, while his 33-year old
wife suffered critical injuries.
The 39-year old woman driving the second
vehicle and her 7-year old passenger suffered minor injuries, while a 46-year
old Menasha man in the car was seriously injured.
Traffic in the area was
diverted for hours, and the scene was cleared five and a half hours later.
