COVID-19 Cases Continue To Hold Steady At 17 In FDL County

The number of positive COVID-19 cases continues to hold steady in Fond du Lac County. County Health Officer Kim Mueller held a Facebook Live Press Briefing on Wednesday, and said the current case count as of Wednesday is 17. Mueller also said the numbers on the Wisconsin Department of Health website saying there are 18 positive tests in the county is incorrect. She explained that one of the positive tests is a person who is from the county, but lives in Florida.

The new numbers this afternoon should reflect the corrections on the state website. Mueller continues to remind people to practice social distancing, wash their hands often and to call 2-1-1 for more information. Those who are experiencing symptoms, or believe they have been exposed to someone who has COVID-19, should call 844-225-0147.

The latest numbers from the state Department of Health Services show 585 positive tests for the disease as of 2 pm on Wednesday, while just over 10,000 have tested “negative”. Nearly 300 people (290) have tested positive in Milwaukee County, while Dane County has 88. There are now six deaths confirmed in the state because of COVID-19.
