COVID-19 Hospitalizations And Active Cases Down, 49 New Cases In FDL County

One day up, the next day down. That seems to be the way the COVID-19 numbers have gone in Fond du Lac County the past few weeks. Tuesday happened to be a down day, with hospitalizations down 4 to 19. Active cases also dropped by another 25, to 913. Released/recovered cases grew by almost 75, with Fond du Lac County now topping the 7,500 mark for total recovered. Total testing was down, with 53 tests being reported as negative.

The numbers statewide continue to go back and forth. Wisconsin set a one-day record for reported deaths, with 107 listed on Tuesday. It should be noted that the number reflects the deaths reported for the day, not how many died in one day. Almost 10,500 tests were processed on Tuesday, with over 6,400 negative tests reported, and 4,078 positive. It’s been a broken record since March, but the wait and see mentality is still in play, the further away from Thanksgiving we get, as to any spikes that may happen as a result of the long holiday weekend.
