COVID-19 Numbers In FDL County Continue To Drop

It was a relatively quiet
day Wednesday on the COVID-19 front in Fond du Lac County, with just one new
confirmed case being reported, bringing the county total to 276. There remain
48 active cases, with 222 recovered, and 3 people still hospitalized with
coronavirus. There were a total of 87 tests returned on Wednesday. FDL County
is now home to over 7,800 total negative tests returned.

 

Statewide, the numbers
continue to look promising, with almost 10,000 tests coming back Wednesday, showing
2.6% positive for a total of 256 new cases being reported. The 7-day average
for new cases now registers 265, which is almost half of where we were at the
peak back on May 30, when our average was 479 new cases daily. Hospitalizations
also continue to show improvement, with 244 hospitalized, 94 of those in ICU,
and 179 awaiting tests.
