COVID-19 Numbers In FDL County Continue To Show Improvement

The COVID-19 numbers continue to show improvement in Fond du Lac County. One day after no new cases were reported, only 5 cases were reported on Wednesday, with the county now topping 11,900 cases since last March. Active cases dropped by 8, bringing the active cases under 100 for the first time in months. Over 400 negative tests were reported on Wednesday, pushing the county closer to 118,000 total negative tests. Hospitalizations as a result of complications from the virus continue to hold steady at 3.  

Wisconsin’s vaccination effort is picking up speed. The Wisconsin Department of Health Services says it administered nearly 270-thousand coronavirus vaccine doses last week. That’s the most since Wisconsin began offering the shots in January. In fact, since the end of January, Wisconsin has been steadily increasing its vaccination rate. Wisconsin has given out more than 200- thousand doses every week since the final week of January.
