COVID Counts In FDL County, State Continue To Climb

The COVID-19 numbers keep climbing in Fond du Lac County. 230 negative tests were processed on Friday, taking the county to over 31,000 total tests since the start of the pandemic. 144 recovered cases pushes that mark to over 4,200. Those are all positives. Things were not so bright on the confirmed case front, with 244 positive tests reported on Friday, leaving Fond du Lac county just shy of 6,000. The active case count also rose by almost 100, with now 1,706 active cases being reported. Hospitalizations dipped slightly, down 2 to 38. There was also one additional death, with Fond du Lac County now reporting 27 deaths associated with the coronavirus.   

Statewide, another new record was set on Friday. 6,141 positive tests were returned, with now 256,065 total positive tests reported since the start of the pandemic. There were also 62 additional deaths reported, with now 2,256 deaths statewide due to coronavirus. A total of 198,090 people have recovered, giving the state a 77% recovery rate.
