Crews Tackle Car Fire

Another vehicle fire prompted Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue crews to jump into action Monday afternoon. Crews were called out just after 1:00 p.m. Monday near Satterlee St. and W. Arndt St., where a customer was attempting to drop off a vehicle at Sadoff Iron and Metal. The company wouldn’t take the vehicle, so the owner drove down the street and had someone use a hacksaw to attempt to remove the gas tank on the vehicle, causing sparks to fly and ignite the tank. Crews were on the scene for almost 90 minutes putting the blaze out. There were no injuries reported in the incident.
