D.A. Files Formal Charges In Shooting Outside Kings And Queens Lounge

Formal charges have now been filed in the shooting incident that occurred outside Kings and Queens Lounge back in March.

27-year old Devonta Tate has been charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide by use of a dangerous weapon. Tate is also facing at least seven other charges including first-degree reckless injury and first-degree recklessly endangering safety among other charges.

FDL County District Attorney Eric Toney filed formal charges Friday but a court date has not yet been set. The March 28 incident left a Fond du Lac man seriously injured outside Kings and Queens Lounge on S. Military Rd.

Tate is currently in Milwaukee after pleading guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm, and is set to be sentenced in June. He will also stand trial in July in Milwaukee County for possession of cocaine over 40 grams with intent to deliver.
