Deadly Sun Prairie explosion report to be released

The findings of a deadly gas main explosion in Sun Prairie will be released Thursday morning. Police Chief Patrick Anhalt is planning to release details at 11 a.m. The ruptured gas main caused the blast on July 10th, killing Sun Prairie Fire Department Captain Cory Barr. According to court documents, the natural gas line wasn’t correctly marked. Instead, a contractor marked a spot 25 feet away from where the line was actually located.
