Dealing With Fake News Tonight At The FDL Public Library

A presentation at the Fond du Lac Public Library tonight should help you decide if what you see, read or hear is fake news. Community Information Coordinator Terri Fleming says the 6 p.m. program “Dealing with Fake News” is free and no registration is required. UW-Madison Professor Dominique Broussard will tackle the issue.  Broussard chairs the Department of Life Sciences Communication. Fleming says she will provide tools and insights that can be used to tell real news from untrustworthy news, particularly in the worlds of science and health. Broussard is also on the steering committee of the UW-Madison Robert and Jean Holtz Center for Science and Technology Studies, and a member of the UW Center for Global Studies.
