Decision On NFDL Village Administrator Delayed

Officials in North Fond du Lac have picked their next Village Administrator, but a contract has to be worked out before they reveal who that person is. Current Administrator Chuck Hornung says the Village Board was supposed to discuss it in closed session this week, but they weren’t quite satisfied with wording for the topic. He says, “The topic for the closed session the board wasn’t comfortable with the way it was worded, it really didn’t reflect what we were going to be discussing in closed session.” He says the board will take it up again at their next meeting on April 16th. The finalists for the administrator’s position were interviewed two weeks ago. They are former Village Trustee John Duffy, Nick Leonard the Village’s Director of Engineering and Planning, and David DeTroye of Kiel who has experience working for municipal government including serving as a public works director.
