Derek Chauvin Found Guilty Of All Charges In Minneapolis

Former Police Officer Derek Chauvin was found guilty on all charges in the trial involving the death of George Floyd. Chauvin was accused of kneeling on the neck of Floyd for over nine minutes, which prompted a host of protests across the country last year.

The jury took very little time in handing down their verdicts of guilty on second and third degree murder, and manslaughter, and concluded that the former Minneapolis police officer killed the 46-year old Floyd by pinning him to the ground. The prosecution claimed the pinning of the neck of Floyd caused a lack of oxygen which caused brain damage, hearth failure and ultimately, death.

Chauvin could face up to 40 years in prison.
