DHS Says COVID Numbers Worse For Unvaccinated

Wisconsin’s COVID-19 numbers are looking bad – particularly for those unvaccinated.

As of Thursday, there were 1,233 people hospitalized due to COVID-19, the largest number since December of 2020.

The state has yet to achieve a 70 percent vaccination rate, and the Department of Health Services said October’s COVID case rate was 5 times higher among the unvaccinated, the hospitalization was rate 11 times higher, and the death rate 15 times higher.

The virus has claimed the lives of more than 8800 Wisconsin residents.
