Disabled Vehicle Call Ends with Two Arrests in Washington County

A call to assist a disabled vehicle in Washington County
Tuesday night ended with two men being arrested on drug trafficking charges. According
to a Facebook post, a Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy spotted the men
walking along Interstate 41 near Hillside Road in the Town of Polk just before
7:20 Tuesday evening. The deputy called a tow truck at the driver’s request –
but as the conversation continued, the deputy became suspicious. The Sheriff’s
K-9 unit was called to assist, and the dog alerted on the vehicle. A subsequent
search of the car turned up two pounds of marijuana and other drug
paraphernalia. A 31-year-old man from Clintonville and a 25-year-old man from
the Town of Embarrass were both arrested for possession with intent to deliver,
and were taken to the Washington County Jail.
