Dodge Co. Man Sentenced for Possession of Child Porn

A 54-year-old Dodge County man was sentenced to prison Monday
after pleading guilty to Possession of Child Pornography in September.

David A. Brickett was sentenced to six years in prison with
an additional six years of extended supervision. The Wisconsin Department of
Justice obtained a search warrant in January of 2018 for possession of child
pornography at a location in Columbus. After executing the search warrant,
agents confronted Bricket – who lived at the address – about their findings. Brickett,
who is a registered sex offender, admitted to having pictures of naked,
underage boys on his electronic devices.

Dodge County Assistant District Attorney Yolanda J.
Tienstra prosecuted the case. “The overwhelming harm here is that even though
Brickett is convicted, the child porn images are out there forever on the
internet and those children will be victims again and again,” Tienstra said.
