Dodge Co. Motorcycle Crash Sends Two to Hospital

Two people were flown to a hospital after a motorcycle
crash in Dodge County Saturday afternoon. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says
the crash happened on Highway 33 in the Town of Herman just after 3 pm. According
to a news release, a man and woman were on a motorcycle going east on Highway
33 when the rear tire of the motorcycle blew, causing both to be ejected. The
man, identified as a 58-year-old from Beaver Dam, sustained serious injuries
that are not believed to be life threatening. He was flown by UW Med Flight to
UW Hospital in Madison. The woman, identified as a 46-year-old from Beaver Dam,
sustained serious, life threatening injuries. She was taken by a second UW Med
Flight to UW Hospital in Madison. Neither person was wearing a helmet at the
time of the crash. Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be a factor in the
crash. The names of those involved are being withheld at this time.
