Dodge Co. Woman Convicted on Harboring/Aiding a Felon Charge

A 33-year-old Beaver Dam woman has been convicted on
charges of Harboring/Aiding a Felon in Dodge County Court for her involvement
in the murder of Bradlee Gerke last October. The Dodge County District Attorney’s
Office said in a news release Wednesday that Rebecca Wolc faces up to five
years in prison, followed by up to five years of extended supervision for the
conviction.

Last October, police arrived at Wolc’s apartment in an
attempt to locate Nigel Schultz, who two days earlier had murdered Gerke.
Schultz had been seen driving Wolc’s vehicle in the area. Reports say Wolc
answered the door and told officers that Schultz was not there. Another person
in the building later told officers that Schultz was indeed hiding inside the
apartment.

The release says Wolc was present when Gerke was
murdered, and agreed to lie about Schultz’s whereabouts until ultimately
confronted by police. Wolc then agreed to be cooperative witness against
Schultz, who pled guilty to first degree intentional homicide last month. Wolc
is due back in court for a sentencing hearing on January 16th.
