Dodge County Authorities To Hold “Baby Theresa” Death Investigation Press Conference Friday 3/18/22
A joint press conference of the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and the Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office will take place at the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office on Friday, March 18, 2022, at 1:30 p.m.
The Dodge County District Attorney’s Office is also expected to join in the conference.
The press conference will take place on the 2nd Floor of the sheriff’s office in the Emergency Operations Center. This press conference is regarding developments in the Baby Theresa death investigation case, which began on April 29, 2009.
The dead infant was discovered in the woods, wrapped in a garbage bag, near the town of Theresa.
Attempts to locate the baby’s mother at the time of the death were not successful.
The baby was found by a man who had been cutting wood on private property, a mile from Hwy. 175 and about 3 miles from Hwy. 41.
Due to limited space, this press conference will be open only to members of the media. No additional information will be released prior to the press conference.
In a related story, a hearing will also be held Friday, involving an unknown woman who was alleged to have been involved in Baby Theresa’s death. The charges were filed in 2014 and were for felony counts of hiding a corpse and concealing the death of a child.
