Dodge County Crash Seriously Injures One

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash Tuesday morning just before 10 a.m. Highway 33, just west of Heart Street, in the Town of Oak Grove.

Preliminary investigation shows a dump truck, operated by a rural 67 year old Campbellsport male, was stopped in the westbound lane for construction when a semi, operated by a 54 year old male from Waupun,  traveling westbound on Highway 33, collided with the dump truck.

The driver, and sole occupant of the dump truck, was uninjured as a result of the crash. The driver, and sole occupant of the semi, was transported by ambulance to Aurora Summit Hospital in Oconomowoc with severe injuries. The highway was closed for almost 6 hours before re-opening just before 4:00 pm.
